A Weekend at the Lake

Last weekend, Sarah and her family went to the lake. The weather was sunny and warm, so it was perfect for a short trip. They packed their bags on Friday evening and left early on Saturday morning. The drive took two hours, and they listened to music in the car.

When they arrived, they set up a tent near the water. The lake was big and calm, with trees all around. Birds were singing, and the air was fresh. Sarah helped her dad make a small fire to cook lunch. They ate sandwiches and fruit while sitting on a blanket.

In the afternoon, Sarah and her brother went swimming in the lake. The water was a little cold, but they had fun. After swimming, they played with a ball and then went for a walk around the lake. They saw ducks, fish, and even a small deer in the forest.

At night, the family sat around the fire. They told stories and looked at the stars. Sarah’s mom made hot chocolate, and they roasted marshmallows. It was quiet and peaceful.

On Sunday, they woke up early and went for a boat ride. Sarah loved being on the water. The lake looked beautiful in the morning light. After breakfast, they packed their things and cleaned the area. They didn’t leave any trash behind.

The family arrived home in the afternoon. Sarah was tired but happy. She said it was the best weekend of the year. She wants to go back again soon.
